CZ Dev is a software design and engineering studio operated by Tamas Czaban and Zsombor Czaban (collectively “CZ Dev,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We operate the website at czaban.dev and provide custom software development services for founders and businesses.

2. What Data We Collect
We collect the following personal data:
- Email address — when you subscribe to our newsletter or contact us directly.
- Booking information — name, email, and any notes you provide when scheduling a call via Calendly (calendly.com). This data is processed by Calendly under their own privacy policy.
- Usage data — basic analytics such as pages visited and browser type, collected in aggregate and not linked to individuals.
We do not collect payment information, sensitive personal data, or data from minors.

4. Third-Party Processors
We share data with the following third-party processors solely to provide our services:
- Calendly (booking platform) — processes name, email, and scheduling data. See Calendly’s Privacy Policy.
- Email service provider — used to deliver newsletter emails. We will update this disclosure when a specific provider is chosen.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party for marketing purposes.
5. Data Retention
Newsletter subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe. Booking-related data is retained for up to 2 years after the last interaction to support potential project follow-ups, after which it is deleted. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 6).
6. Your Rights Under GDPR
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Erasure — request deletion of your personal data (“right to be forgotten”).
- Restriction — ask us to limit how we process your data.
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest.
- Withdraw consent — unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link in any email, or by contacting us directly.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@czaban.dev. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (e.g., NAIH in Hungary, Tietosuojavaltuutettu in Finland).
7. Cookies
This website uses only essential cookies necessary for basic functionality. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. Third-party services (e.g., Calendly) may set their own cookies when you interact with booking forms; refer to their respective policies.
8. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS.
9. International Transfers
Calendly is a US-based service. Data transfers to Calendly are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) as required under GDPR Article 46. We do not otherwise transfer your data outside the European Economic Area.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via newsletter or a notice on this page. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
